Best Midnight Snack Ever? You Know...Cereal

MMMMM....Refreshing!

When the clock strikes midnight and your stomach starts to grumble, what is it that most of America go to the kitchen to grab? Oh yeah...cereal with some ice cold milk. There are few things so good. Something about the  mix of a sweet crunch with cold creamy milk can satisfy my hunger anytime of day. All I need is a big bowl and a big spoon to match it.

My favorite cereals are none other than....drum roll please.... Honey Chex and Frosted Mini Wheats.

That's right, it's cheap, it's delicious, and it's at any supermarket you can find. You won't have to look far for your mouthful of yumminess at whatever hour you crave it. So turn on the Nanny (still airing on nick@nite), sit down on the comfy couch, and put on your pjs...cause it's cereal time my friends. Have a spoon-in good time.

  1. I JUST bought a box of Honey Chex the other day and thought of you, my dear friend! All the times we'd be studying - or attempting/pretending to be studying - Italian late at night and we'd break out the Chex. That and Nutella, of course. As blogged about here: http://blessyourheartva.blogspot.com/2011/02/nutella-247-i-think-so.html

  2. this is great advice! Milk is full of casein proteins and a dollop of tryptophan: both help with easing into sleep. Cold milk too is better than hot milk because it helps lower the body temperature, another cue for increased sleepiness. And the cereal with its easy to digest carbs gives a quick rise in blood sugars followed by a fall that adds to the sleepy trend.
