Were Barack Obama's chances for re-election helped? Let's take a poll

Will this be your only term Mr. President?

Barack Obama was the man in office at the time of a long desired capture of Osama Bin Laden. The hunt for this terrorist mastermind, initiated by President Bush and finished by President Obama, was long and sometimes seemed never-ending. It has been ten years since the search started, but now the search for this man in particular...is over. The big question is will the death of this man give Barack Obama acceptance points?

Since Obama entered office his approval ratings, though they started strong, have steadily been sinking; dropping below 50%  in recent polls. However, since the death of Osama Bin Laden, Obama's approval ratings have raised a substantial 11%. This event may help to bring Obama back on tract with the American people.

Will this help his re-election? I hope the American people vote for the presidency keeping all aspects in mind, not on one needed victory. Whether Obama should be re-elected or not be re-elected is not my statement. I'm stating that whatever does happen, needs to be for good reason. Not due to a state of fickleness, appreciation, or misguided knowledge of the American people. A president should be a great leader and have a mind for the American people.
