Hats off to you!

The Royal Wedding took place last Friday, and the excitement of watching this royal event was buzzing through the U.S. and Britain. What I would like to mention are the many hats that also attended the wedding. I caught a glimpse of a TV show in which one of Kate's friends was discussing the importance of wearing a hat to this royal function. However, she didn't know what was proper etiquette of when the hat could be removed. During the reception removal could take place...or maybe the hat never leaves the head until sitting in a car on your way home. Hats aren't so much of a tradition here in the States, maybe a few extremely proper woman will sport them to certain functions such as church, or even a wedding, but they aren't commonly seen. So let's take a look at some of the hats seen at the Royal Wedding.

Not quite sure what she was thinking.

Very Classy, well done Miss!

Black hat, very nice. Charcoal outfit...add some color.

Very spring season, a little too large though.

She was going for the comments. I just hope those aren't real butterflies.
There is a range of classy to ridiculous. Many more styles of hats were sported for this function. I hope the hats gave William and Kate a little extra love for their marriage and years to come.

  1. L-o-v-e the new blog, Kipsy!

That last hat is definitely comment-worthy. It's a little excessive...maybe she was trying to make a connection - from butterflies to monarchs? Get it?
